Welcome to The University of New Mexico Department of Pathology. This is an exciting time for the future of pathology here in New Mexico and nationwide. New advances in the molecular characterization of disease and molecular diagnostics promise to improve disease prevention and treatment. Pathologists are ideally situated to translate basic science research discoveries to improve patient care and become the gatekeepers for personalized medicine.
