The goal of work in my lab is to unravel molecular mechanisms of nociception and chronic pain to help develop novel treatments. We utilize a combination of electrophysiological, imaging, behavioral and molecular biology techniques in animal models and in human-derived tissue. We are heavily guided by patients and collaborate with clinicians to help determine novel targets involved in the pathophysiology of chronic pain.
