Dr. Bissell is a Native New Mexican. She grew up in Penasco, NM and obtained her BS in Anthropology and Spanish at UNM. She then graduated from UNM Medical School and went on to complete UNM Family and Community Medicine Residency. She joined the faculty in 2013 and practices both inpatient and outpatient Family Medicine.

Dr. Bissell has clinic at Atrisco Heritage and enjoys working with children, adolescents as well as complex adult care. She also provided prenatal care and women’s health care. She speaks Spanish and provides care in Spanish as well.
