Rodgers, Beth Professor

Positions

Dr. Rodgers received her BS in Nursing from Georgia State University, Atlanta, and her MSN and PhD in Nursing from the University of Virginia. She came to the University of New Mexico after an extended career at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee where she was a full professor and held a variety of leadership positions.   She is widely known for her work on nursing knowledge development and concept development as well as for her expertise in qualitative research. She has been a frequent consultant for PhD program development and for course and curricular work in the areas of research methods, philosophy and epistemology as they pertain to nursing, and theory development. Her books have been adopted around the globe and translated into multiple languages. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing, and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing.
