As somebody with past clinical practice experience in home health and hospice; I am familiar with healthcare and pain issues for people living in the community. I have also completed and published in the area of health promotion and I’m presently involved in a meditation and its impact on health among elderly living in the community.
My interest in distance education comes from serving as PI on a federal grant and because I have taught multiple web based courses for undergraduate, masters, and PhD nursing students involving both didactic and clinical components over the past 12 years. I also have several years’ experience teaching via interactive television. As a result I am familiar with distance education strengths, needs and in solving barrier issues.
