Dr. Peggy Beeley, MD, FACP, is a Professor at the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hospital Medicine. She received her Medical Doctorate from the University of Tennessee, College of Medicine, Memphis, TN, and completed her Internal Medicine Residency and Internship at the University of New Mexico. Dr. Beeley completed her Infectious Diseases Fellowship at the University of New Mexico. Her interests include infectious disease medicine as it relates to the hospitalist and medication safety. She chairs the Medication Safety Committee which is a subcommittee of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee. She remains an active member of the UNMH P&T committee and enjoys collaborating with the pharmacy on medication safety quality projects. She has also received professional recognition as the 2014 Outstanding Faculty Recognition. Dr. Beeley is a current fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine, American College of Physicians, and New Mexico Chapter of American College of Physicians.
