I am a Board Certified Urogynecologist in our FPMRS DIvision and have had the honor and pleasure of caring for women during my entire career. I am interested in all aspects of clinical Urogynecology including: prolapse, urinary incontinence, interstitial cystitis and their surgical and non-surgical treatments. I am also interested in alternative medical therapies.

I have had an particular interest in urgency urinary incontinence (UUI) and its many treatment modalities. I have performed epidemiologic and clinical trials evaluating various approaches to its treatment.  We have collaborated previously in reporting the 4-year cumulative incidence and remission of urinary incontinence in women in the HRS. We have completed a randomized trial evaluating hypnotherapy in UUI treatment and the associated brain changes linked to UUI based on functional magnetic imaging. We have also recently finished an evaluation of urogynecology and chronic pelvic pain patients' experiences with adverse childhood experiences and look forward to using this information in implementing treatments for women with these conditions.

I enjoy working with the patients who come to our sub-specialty clinic at the University of New Mexico Hospital and I feel fortunate to work with fabulous nurses, receptionists, administrative staff, midwives, and physical therapists that care deeply about our patients.  I am lucky to be a member of a physician group which is one of the best in the nation.
