Dr. Leonard Noronha, MD, is an Associate Professor at the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hospital Medicine. He received his MD from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, PA and completed his residency at the University of New Mexico Health Science Center. Dr. Noronha completed his Palliative Care Medicine fellowship at the University of New Mexico Health Science Center. His research interests are High Value Care, Palliative Care and Undergraduate Medical Education. Dr. Noronha is the recipient of numerous awards including the 2015 Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award, the 2014 Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society Faculty Inductee and special recognition for Phase II Medical Student Teaching at the Department of Internal Medicine in 2009, 2010 and 2014. He also served on the HSC Faculty Senate from 2010-2012. Dr. Noronha is a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine, American College of Physicians and American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
