Tatlock received his dental degree from Baylor College of Dentistry/Texas A&M Health Sciences Center in 1980. He obtained his Masters in Public Health from UNM in 2003. Tatlock joined UNM's dental faculty in 1999. He serves as the Director of Undergraduate Education and is the academic advisor for the UNM Pre-Dental Society.
Research Interests
Tatlock’s research interests pertain to public health issues, interprofessional collaborations and emerging clinical protocols in health promotion and disease prevention. Tatlock participated in a HRSA grant with UNM’s Division of Dental Services, and an NIH grant with the New Mexico Geriatric Education Center. He also conducted a study approved by UNM Health Sciences Center’s Human Research and Review Committee on the oral effects of long-term methamphetamine use.
