Ruth De Rego, DNP, RN, ANP-BC is a clinician educator - assistant professor in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at The University of New Mexico College of Nursing. She teaches Advanced Health Assessment, Adult Health and Geriatrics. De Rego has been an adult nurse practitioner for more than 20 years, with experience in primary care and infectious disease. Specific interests include health literacy, chronic disease management and geriatrics. De Rego received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University, her Master of Science in Nursing from Boston College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
