Dr. Arthur Kaufman has been a Family Medicine Physician for over 30 years at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. He has held multiple positions of importance to the health of individuals and communities, including Director of the Primary Care Curriculum, Director for the Health of the Public Program, Director of the WHO Collaborating Center for the Dissemination of Community-Oriented, Problem–Based Education and, currently, Chairman for the UNM Department of Family and Community Medicine. In all of these roles, Dr. Kaufman has been the leader of numerous programs of local, national and international significance.
