Guo, Mingsheng Bioinformatics Specialist

Positions

I received Ph.D. in Nanjing University on geophysics, and continued to learn the computer information system at Tennessee State University.  My post-doctoral studies were on the photonic materials and Raman spectroscopies of collagen protein for the investigation of laser surgery, and with Dr. Arnold Burger as advisor at the Department of Physics in Fisk University. Previous research was about the discrimination and classification methods of high-dimension non-linear datasets in the biomedical engineering area at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center (VICC). Recent work was on the high efficient processing and cancer genetic analyzing methods of the genomic sequence datasets from the Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) at the Vanderbilt Technologies for Advanced Genomics Analysis and Research Design (VANGARD) service core. My current focuses are on the meticulous bio-informatics approaches to the genomic imprinting details of cancer genetics, epigenetics, and the episode environment at the division of Molecular Medicine in the University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center (UNMCCC).
