Project ECHO uses videoconferencing technology to link specialists at academic medical centers with primary care clinicians in local communities, thereby expanding access to specialty medical care for vulnerable populations and underserved areas. Project ECHO operates 39 hubs for 30 diseases and conditions in 22 states and 5 countries. Dr. Arora has received more than $27,000,000 of grant support, the Heinz Award for Public Policy, the Rosenthal Award and the American College of Physicians and the American Telemedicine Association President’s Award for his work with Project ECHO.
