Dr. Giddens is Professor and Executive Dean at the College of Nursing, University of New Mexico. Dr. Giddens earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas, a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at El Paso, and a doctorate in Education and Human Resource Studies from Colorado State University.

Dr. Giddens has been involved with nursing education since 1984. Her teaching experience includes associate degree, baccalaureate degree, and graduate degree programs in New Mexico, Texas, and Colorado.
