Dr. Xue is an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of New Mexico. His research is focused on studying molecular mechanisms for inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer. The long-term goal of his studies is to understand how micronutrients especially iron interacts with macronutrients in inflammation and tumor, and to develop novel therapeutic methods to treat diseases.
