Debra Serrino, MSN, RN, is a clinician educator - instructor at the University of New Mexico College of Nursing. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree, with a double major in Community Health and International Cross-Cultural Nursing and an AIDS minor, at the University of California, San Francisco, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at University of Michigan. Debra worked through the AIDS epidemic providing both inpatient and outpatient hospice care. Her clinical background is in medical-surgical nursing and hospice care. She has taught community and medical-surgical undergraduate courses, focused on clinical skills, and clinical intensives in gerontology and hospice. She worked with the Simulation team with the Level 1 to five pre-baccalaureate students and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner students. She is currently teaching online courses for the RN-BSN program.
