Dr. Saavedra is an associate professor of Family Medicine at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. She received her MD from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 1989 and completed her Family Medicine residency at Providence Medical Center in Seattle in 1992. Dr Saavedra worked at SeaMar Community Health Center in Seattle and in private practice in Santa Fe, NM before joining the faculty at UNM in 2000.
Dr. Saavedra is a clinician-educator who provides full-spectrum primary care including women’s health, prenatal, and newborn/pediatric care.
