Klein, Nicole Person

Dr. Klein is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases.  She completed her MD degree at Emory University in 2002, and then her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of New Mexico in 2005. She then worked in the UNMH Out Patient IV Antibiotic Clinic (OPAT), HIV Clinic and as the Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic.  Dr.Klein subsequently completed subspecialty training in Infectious Diseases at UNM in 2010.  She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Dr. Klein's interests include global health and global epidemiology of Chagas Disease.  Upon completion of her fellowship, she joined the clinical faculty in Infectious Diseases at UNMH.  She then lived in New Zealand for a year with her family, returning to a faculty position in the Department of Medicine at the VA medical center in the division of Hospital Medicine, and the Division of Infectious Disease.
