Lee, Jongwon Associate Professor

Positions

Jongwon Lee, PhD, RN, associate professor at The University of New Mexico College of Nursing, focuses her research on Asian American women's health and prevention-seeking behaviors. She is particularly interested in research aimed to reduce disparities in breast and cervical cancer among Korean and/or Vietnamese American women and to develop culturally appropriate community-based interventions that meet the needs of these populations. Her research interest has also focused on the development and psychometric evaluations of instruments. 

Lee attended the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Nursing, where she earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing and Master of Nursing Science degrees, focusing on maternal and women's health.  She earned her Registered Nurse-to-Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Yonsei University and her Diploma in Nursing from the National Medical Center College of Nursing in Seoul, South Korea.
