  • Dr. Ohls is an internationally recognized expert on the diagnosis and treatment of critically-ill and prematurely-born infants. Her most recent NIH R01 study evaluates the effects of erythropoiesis stimulating agents (ESAs) on long term neurodevelopmental outcomes of children who received ESAs during their initial hospitalization. Dr. Ohls has published nearly 100 chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles, many in high impact journals, and is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences. Her translational research has received continuous extramural funding since 1994.
