Dr. Michelle Bardack is a Board Certified Family Doctor a Professor of Family and Community Medicine at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. She received her MD from Rush Medical College in 1996, and completed her residency in family medicine at St. Paul Ramsey Medical Center in St. Paul, MN. She spent 10 years working for the IHS at Shiprock, NM and at First Choice Clinics a Federally Qualified Health Center in Albuquerque, NM. She came to UNM SOM in 2010.

Her work at UNM SOM has focused on training of the family medicine residents in outpatient primary care and the Newborn Nursery. She has a leadership role in the development of the Learning Communities Program for the SOM. Her research interests involve overall health and wellness during medical school and residency and keeping medical students inspired for careers committed to care of underserved populations.
