I have worked as a primary care provider and manager in long-term care facilities, ambulatory offices, and hospitals for over 10 years. During my advanced practice nursing training, I volunteered at Healthcare for the Homeless in Cleveland, Ohio.  My research interests involved African American homeless men, and their health seeking behaviors.

Health education is a pillar of my clinical practice.  From making house calls in the bush of Alaska to spearheading a clinic fundraiser for HIV outreach in inner city Detroit, I have been consistent in promoting public wellness through my practice.  This was required of me as a National Health Service Corps Scholar, and it has been my passion ever since.
